Band Album Redesigns
The idea of this project was to take existing bands from different genres and redesign their latest released album and create a series around it. There are 3 genres, 1 band from each; Indie Folk (The Oh Hellos), Rock (Royal Blood), and Reggae (Rebelution).
There are 6 items for each band, a CD album, sticker cover for the CD, stickers, full size poster (roughly 18x24), mini poster (8xl0), a t-shirt box (if you purchase online), and t-shirt.
Band Redesign Project
My goal for the redesign for each bands albums was to include textural and interactive aspects. I want fans of the bands to really appreciate something unique while also enticing individuals who aren't familiar with the bands to seek out the their music.
Royal Blood
Mixed Rock Genre Band Merch items
Royal Blood is an English duo with a style blend of blues rock, hard rock, garage rock, and psychedelic rock. Their style focuses heavily around demons and inner monsters portrayed in ink drawings. I continued incorporating that style into these pieces.
The Oh Hellos
Indie Folk Band Merch items
Their album Dear Wormwood shares a story of an abusive relationship through letters from the victim. I created pieces that represented the victim “packing their bags” emotionally and literally. The album cover piece being the place they escape to in the mountains.
Rebelution
Reggae Band Merch items
Rebelution’s Reggae album style consistently portray a combination of nature or humans and I continued with incorporating that theme in these pieces
