UCP Charter Branding Projects

Campus Branding Projects

UCP of Central Florida Charter School has a variety of marketing projects that have provided an abundance of design applications. The agency has eight charter locations, each with its unique design requests. It has been my assigned duties to manage and implement all of their design needs from concept to overseeing installation, including communicating with vendors to gather quotes and manage invoices. Projects have included campus branding, donor recognition, vehicle decals, shirts, and interior branding implementation.

Healthy West Orange Donor Recognition & Branding

In 2020 a capital campaign began to start the construction of a new West Orange Campus to meet the community's growing need. West Orange Health District became the highest level donor, awarding the campus name in honor of them. The Healthy West Orange Campus is comprised of multiple donor levels, some requiring further recognition than others.

I was the lead on the team managing the interior design pieces in recognition of these donors and new campus branding that blended Healthy West Orange (a West Orange Healthcare District Initiative) and UCP.

Donors were recognized in a wall mural, hallway decals, office plaques, and signage.

Variations of the Healthy West Orange Logo. Includes landscape, stacked, and emblem for versatile application.

Three hallway wings were each dedicated to a specific donor.

Healthy West Orange mascot is Westly, a character built out of the letters H W O. Part of integrating their branding with UCP was utilizing Westly as part of the campus messaging. He was included in custom cling designs for the interior lobby and other aspects of the campus interior.

Administration Wings

UCP of Central Florida moved its administrative offices in the summer of 2019. Since then, I had been tasked with incorporating branding, team recognition, and bringing character elements to the hallways.

Wall mural dedicated to team members, board members, and community members who have been involved or worked for UCP of Central Florida for over 20 years. This wall is a growing concept so future team members can be added to the blank bubbles, with additional blanks also to be added with the mural ever expanding. The mural also includes icon elements from other aspects of UCP of Central Florida branding. The project was revealed with a small celebration that invited all those who are recognized on the wall in December of 2021.

UCP of Central Florida’s History wall. This wall is comprised of photos dating back to the original development center in 1955 and includes all of the monumental moments and groundbreakings up to 2021. The wall includes 59 photos and 1 title card with sizes ranging 8x10, 11x14, 16x20 and 18x22. The wall was coordinated by myself and reviewed the the President/CEO and installed by myself and a colleague.

Charter Mascot Branding

Each campus had its original mascots; however, they had varying levels of professionalism, some using clip art.

In 2019 I was tasked with bringing cohesion to the mascot lineup. All but one campus required revamping their mascot. I did this by utilizing the brand colors and typeface by pairing each with a color combo from the branding and using the campus name in the emblem.

Campus Interiors

Each campus was offered to incorporate their branded mascots with a menu of options for their interiors. Some options included a welcome banner, mascot, and the charter logo. These are some examples of the interiors that I coordinated.

Campus Exteriors

The exterior of the campuses offer prime marketing opportunity to show what UCP of Central Florida offers. Two campus locations have utilized marketing in privacy playground banners. Other campuses have required signage designs.

These projects were designed by me, and I also coordinated the purchase and installation of them.

Vehicle Decals

UCP of Central Florida had two vehicles donated by a generous donor. These vehicles offered a great marketing opportunity as they would essentially be a driven billboard.

The facilities van was one of my first big projects when I started at UCP in 2017. The transportation van was a project done later in 2018.

Campus Merch

There have been many projects at UCP of Central Florida that have highlighted the use of T-shirts. Most T-shirts have been campus requested where I have assisted in the design of the shirt, and coordinated with a vendor to order what was needed.
