UCP Development Projects

UCP Miscellaneous Development Projects

The UCP Development team has a wide array of other programs and smaller events throughout the year that helps raise funding or allow an opportunity for stakeholders and community members to be involved. Some of their events and initiatives include Book Buds, Food Pantry Program, Lake Scary 5K, Help for the Holidays, YEC, and the Volunteer Hero Program.

Semi Annual Book Buds

Book Buds is a Semi-Annual opportunity for the Central Florida community members to tour one of UCP’s campus locations, learn about UCP’s mission to Unlock Children’s Potential, and then engage in an hour of reading and play with one of the classes.

The event was re-themed in 2020 to centralize it around a mascot and evergreen theme. I created the initial Buddy graphics, color palette, and font guide. I continuously update the digital invitation, web graphics, and social graphics and photograph the event each occurrence.

Help for the Holidays Initiative

Help for the Holidays is an annual initiative where Central Florida community members can support UCP by adopting families nominated by the campuses. The families nominated are those who need a little extra help feeling confident their child will have a bright holiday season. Individuals or groups are paired with a family and then shop for them based on details provided by their paired family.

The event was re-themed in 2020 to centralize it around an evergreen theme. I created the logo, graphics, color palette, and font guide. I update the digital flyer, web graphics, and social graphics annually.

Volunteer Hero Program

UCP’s Volunteer Hero Program allows the parents of students, friends, and members of the community the opportunity to be an integral part by offering supportive services to UCP’s children and staff.

The program was branded in 2018 by me and revamped in 2020. I created the logo, graphics, color palette, and font guide. I also designed support pieces such as a handout card, shirts for volunteers to wear on-site, an information flyer, website banner, and badge icons for the volunteer website when volunteers hit milestones.

Food Pantry Program

The program was created in 2020 to assist some of UCP’s families facing food insecurity.

I designed the brand assets, including the logo and font use. The color palette utilizes the overall UCP brand colors to bring brand consistency to the program. I also created sponsor-level icons and campaign graphics with photos I took to help the program messaging.

Lake Scary

The first Lake Scary 5K was created by Lake Mary Prep School students in 2012 and became an avenue to help raise awareness and funds in Central Florida. All funds raised by the prep school were donated to UCP of Central Florida. Lake Mary Prep began to collaborate more with UCP Marketing and Development in 2016 to expand its audience reach and utilize resources from UCP.

I created a logo, social graphics, color palette, and font guide. I also design the website event banner and thumbnail, provide the design for the winner’s medals annually and photograph the event each year.

Young Executive Committee

UCP of Central Florida’s Young Executive Committee (YEC) is a group of young professionals who are dedicated to supporting UCP’s mission of empowering children with and without disabilities to achieve their potential through fundraising and “friendraising.”

I created a logo and font guide. I utilized the color palette from the overall UCP brand to bring brand consistency to the committee. I also assist in designing collateral for events hosted by the committee annually and photograph those events each year.

Logo variations include landscape in black, stacked in color and stacked black
